Discussions with the Michigan Health Endowment Fund’s behavioral health team led to this blog idea—an informative, “myth-busting” explainer on medication-assisted treatment. The challenge: describe a nuanced and evolving medical topic clearly and succinctly.

Annual reports often take months to assemble and design. At the Health Fund, I created a briefer and more dynamic “year in review” to supplement the report, posting it annually around the new year. 2020 was the most difficult—and most important—year to look back on.

The Health Fund’s bimonthly newsletter, assembled in Mailchimp and sent to over 4,000 subscribers, is another communications item I initiated and owned. Here’s an example from June 2021.

During high school and college, I did some freelance work for the Milwaukee Catholic Herald, writing columns, taking photographs, reporting stories. This is one such story, on a business incubator workshop in Milwaukee.
